The Best Little Caesars Vegan Options in 2022

This article looks into the vegan options at the third largest pizza chain in the world and the largest carry-out only chain in the United State: Little Caesars.

As of May 2019, Little Caesars has locations in all 50 states in the US and in 24 countries worldwide. They are most famous for their mouth watering “Crazy Bread” bread-sticks and their “Hot-N-Ready” $5 pizzas that require no pre-ordering or waiting in-store. Unfortunately for vegans, the “Hot-N-Ready” pizzas only include Cheese, Pepperoni, and Sausage at the time of this writing so advance ordering is required.

Since Little Caesars has so many locations worldwide, nutritional and allergy information varies from country to country. We do our best to decipher the information available online and the allergy information available from Little Caesars throughout this article, but make sure call your local store to confirm the information provided as selections vary from store to store.

In addition to the above paragraph, we have also been informed (h/t Kurt-Anthony) that cross-contamination is a potential concern at Little Caesars since employees do not, and are not required to, wear gloves while making the pizzas. This means your vegan pizza could be contaminated by other non-vegan ingredients when they are being prepared. If this is of concern, discuss this with the store when ordering.

The following sections breakdown vegan pizza and sides options available at Little Caesars.

Little Caesars Vegan Pizzas

Unfortunately, Little Caesars locations worldwide do not have any vegan ready pizza options on their menu at the time of this writing. Most locations list one “Veggie” pizza on their website, but it includes animal-based cheese as a topping. Additionally, Little Caesars Canada’s allergy guide lists a milk allergy for the “Veggie Seasoning” so it in unclear whether this pizza is vegan if the cheese is removed. Therefore, the best option to ensure you get a vegan-friendly Little Caesars pizza is to opt for a “Create-Your-Own Pizza” at locations worldwide.

It should be noted that as of May 2019, select Little Caesars locations in the United State began serving Impossible Food’s vegan sausage as a topping. Little Caesars serves the plant-based sausage on the “Impossible Supreme Pizza” which is not vegan-friendly as it is topped with dairy-based cheese. The Impossible Foods sausage is currently on the menu at select locations in Ft. Meyers, FL; Albuquerque, NM; and Yakima, WA. If the trial run is successful in these locations, Impossible’s vegan sausage will become a staple at locations nationwide. In a interview with CNBC, Little Caesars CEO David Scrivano stated that he believes that these plant-based meat products are “here to stay” and the product is directed at meat-eaters.

Is Little Caesars Crazy Bread Vegan?

Little Caesars Crazy Bread is made up of soft and chewy bread sticks, a garlic spread, and a Parmesan topping. As Parmesan is not vegan, a standard order of Crazy Bread is also not vegan. However, Little Caesars Crazy Bread is made vegan by simply removing Parmesan topping. As an added bonus, the Hot-N-Ready Crazy Sauce that accompanies the Crazy Bread is also vegan friendly! Both the bread (minus cheese) and sauce have been confirmed to be vegan by Peta and Little Caesars employee Vala Rogers.

Editors Note: Little Caesars Mexico’s website states that their Crazy Bread contains garlic, butter, Parmesan, and bread so removing only the Parmesan in Mexico may not make them vegan.

Summary

Next time you are in need of a vegan pizza fix, give Little Caesars a try! Your best bet it to “Create-Your-Own” pizza with no cheese and add a side of Crazy Bread without Parmesan to finish things off!
