PF Chang’s China Bistro is a chain of American-based and Asian-themed casual dining restaurants throughout the United States. At the time of this writing, they have 219 locations with headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. As with many Asian dining establishments, PF Chang’s also has a great selection of vegan friendly menu items. In this article we look at the 9 best vegan options at PF Chang’s. 1. Edamame
A simple but classic Asian side dish is Edamame with sea salt. The Edamame at PF Chang’s is steamed to order and vegan-friendly.
2. Chili Garlic Green Beans
The Chili Garlic Green Beans at PF Chang’s are cooked in a fiery red chili sauce with fresh garlic and Sichuan preserves.
3. Sichuan-Style Asparagus
Cooked in a very similar matter to the green beans above, the Sichuan-Style Asparagus at PF Chang’s are cooked in a red chili paste with garlic, Sichuan preserves, and sliced onion.
4. Wok'd Spinach with Garlic
A very simple dish, PF Chang’s Wok’d Spinach with Garlic is exactly as it sounds: fresh spinach leaves cooked with chopped garlic in a wok.
5. Buddha's Feast (Steamed or Stir-Fried)
As the name suggests, PF Chang’s Budda’s Feast is a feast fit to fight off the starving Buddha inside of you. This dish is made with five-spiced tofu, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, and carrots in a savory sauce.
6. Stir-Fried Eggplant
If you’re a fan of eggplant, then dish is the one for you! The Stir-Fried Eggplant features Chinese eggplant cooked in a sweet chili soy glaze with green onions and garlic.
7. Thai Harvest Curry
Arguably the most complex vegan dish on PF Chang’s menu is the Thai Harvest Curry. This curry features five-spice tofu, butternut squash, rustic vegetables, and Asian mushrooms in a red curry broth and topped with fresno peppers.
8. Chang's Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps
PF Chang’s lettuce wraps are made using a secret Chiang family recipe and are their signature dish. According to Peta, the Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps at PF Chang’s include Tofu, Green Onion, Mint, Water Chestnuts, and Crispy Rice Sticks.
9. Brown and White Steamed Rice
Last, but not least, both the brown and white steamed rices are vegan friendly at PF Chang’s.
Non-vegan Options
Unfortunately PF Chang’s has a variety of menu items that appear to be vegan on the surface, but include milk, egg, or seafood based ingredients. The following ingredients are not vegan friendly according to the allergen guide:
- Cauliflower Tempura (Milk, Egg, Fish, and Shellfish)
- Crispy Green Beans (Egg)
- Vegetable Spring Rolls (Milk, Egg, and Shellfish)
- Crispy Avocado Rolls (Milk, Egg, and Shellfish)
- Wok Charred Brussels Sprouts (Milk, Egg, Fish, and Shellfish)

As can be seen by this article, PF Chang’s has a plethora of good vegan options to choose from. They have options ranging from a simple Edamame side dish to a complex red curry.
