Yard House is an American sports bar chain with over 80 locations in the United States (mostly west of the Mississippi River) according to Wikipedia. While most sports bars have limited vegan-friendly options, Yard House has the contrary. Yard House’s menu features over 20 items (including sides) that are vegan or can be made vegan. This article lists the 15 best vegan options at Yard House sports bars in 2022.
Yard House does not post their ingredients or a allergens guide (besides gluten), but they do provide both vegetarian-friendly and vegan-friendly menus. As both menus hadn’t been updated since January 2019, all menu items were verified with the online menu. We have also added Yard House’s vegan-friendly menu at the bottom of this article.
1. Chips & Guacamole (No Feta)
Starting off this list of vegan menu items at Yard House we have Chips & Guacamole. These chips and guac come with pico de gallo and feta as listed on the menu. Therefore, the feta needs to be removed in order to make this snack vegan-friendly.
As with all fried dishes at Yard House, the fryer the chips are cooked in is shared with non-vegan foods. If this is of concern for you then you’ll want to refrain from ordering any of the fried products on this list.
2. Crispy Brussels Sprouts & Potatoes (No Aioli)
Next up is the Crispy Brussels Sprouts & Potatoes. As the name suggests, this dish features fried Brussels Sprouts and potatoes. They come with a Malt Vinegar Aioli dipping sauce which is not vegan friendly. Therefore, the aioli should be substituted for one of Yard House’s vegan dipping sauces.
As with all fried dishes at Yard House, the fryer the Brussels Sprouts and potatoes are cooked in is shared with non-vegan foods. If this is of concern for you then you’ll want to refrain from ordering any of the fried products on this list.
3. Pita and Hummus
A vegan classic is Yard House’s Pita and Hummus. The pita comes in both crispy or baked varieties and the hummus is topped with edamame and Kalamata olives. This dish is vegan-friendly as listed on the menu.
As with all fried dishes at Yard House, the fryer the Crisp Pita Bread is cooked in is shared with non-vegan foods. If this is of concern for you then you’ll want to order the baked pita bread for this menu option.
4. Edamame
Another vegan classic is Edamame. Yard House’s Edamame comes in two varieties: Chilled (Plain) and Hot & Spicy. Both varieties of edamame is vegan as listed on the menu.
5. Buffalo Cauliflower or Gardein Wings (Buffalo and Ancho BBQ)
If you’re in the mood for some vegan wings then you’re in luck! Yard House has three vegan wing options. The Buffalo Cauliflower and two of the Gardein Wing flavors (Buffalo and Ancho BBQ) are vegan-friendly. Yard House does not specify why the other two Gardein Wing flavors (Firecracker and Korean) are not vegan friendly. The Buffalo Cauliflower is served with a spicy tahini sauce.
As with all fried dishes at Yard House, the fryer the Buffalo Cauliflower and Gardein Wings are cooked in is shared with non-vegan foods. If this is of concern for you then you’ll want to refrain from ordering any of the fried products on this list.
6. Mixed Field Greens Salad (No Croutons)
If you’re in the mood for a light starter option, choose the Mixed Field Greens Salad. This salad comes with baby tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, croutons, and balsamic vinaigrette. Unfortunately, the croutons contain dairy so they should be removed. The balsamic vinaigrette can be substituted for either a soy vinaigrette or a blood orange vinaigrette, both of which are vegan.
7. Red Quinoa Salad (No Feta)
The first of Yard House’s two vegan-friendly entree salads is the Red Quinoa Salad. This salad comes with kale, parsley, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted beets, cauliflower, blueberries, feta, baby tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, and is topped with a blood orange vinaigrette. Therefore, the feta needs to be removed to make this salad vegan. The blood orange vinaigrette can be substituted for either a soy vinaigrette or a balsamic vinaigrette, both of which are vegan.
8. Gardein BBQ Chicken Salad (No Cheese, No Chipotle Ranch Dressing)
The second of Yard House’s two vegan-friendly entree salads is the Gardein BBQ Chicken Salad. This salad comes with avocado, pasilla, corn, cheddar, jack, tortilla strips, tomato, beans, fried onions, cilantro, and topped with a chipotle ranch. Therefore, the cheese needs to be removed and the ranch needs to be substituted to make this salad vegan. Yard House’s vegan salad dressings are the blood orange vinaigrette, soy vinaigrette, and the balsamic vinaigrette.
9. Gardein Orange Chicken
Yard House’s Gardein Orange Chicken is served with baby corn, bok choy, a orange glaze, and jasmine rice. This appears to be the only Gardein menu item to be vegan friendly as is.
As with all fried dishes at Yard House, the fryer the Orange Chicken cooked in is shared with non-vegan foods. If this is of concern for you then you’ll want to refrain from ordering any of the fried products on this list.
10. Gardein Fried Chicken Tenders (No Ranch or Dijon Dressing)

Yard House’s Gardine Chicken & Avocado Sandwich is vegan friendly! As listed on the menu it comes with swiss cheese, lettuce, and mayo on a onion poppy seed bun and served with a side of fires. In order to make this vegan the swiss cheese and mayo need to be removed. We’d recommend substituting the mayo for BBQ sauce, Aloha sauce or one of Yard House’s other great sauces.

Bonus: Breads
While none of Yard House’s breads are listed individually on the menu, it should be noted that many of them are vegan. The vegan options are:
- French Onion Poppyseed Bun

- Pizza Dough
The most exciting vegan bread option on this list is the pizza dough. Pair it with the vegan pizza sauce or BBQ sauce and you can make a vegan pizza. Yard House doesn’t list a create-your-own pizza option on their menu, but we would guess to say that they would be willing to whip one up for you if you asked. They might even put some the Beyond Burger’s vegan mozzarella on it for you.
